What's next?

I was just approved for the Discover IT card and am curious where I should go from here. I plan on gardening though for at least the next 6-12 months. Honestly I am not quite sure what my options are especially being out of chapter 7 for almost 3 years. I know I have a long way to go before I can acquire an AMEX or Chase card as they are not BK friendly. I also plan on closing my credit one card at some point this year because the credit increases are awful and I have to pay for them, lets not forget the lovely $35 annual fee I have paid every year. And lets not forget CITI hates me too lol Smiley Tonguegot denied for a best buy card last year. But my scores are decent and see them rising over the next year or so.

Cap One- $2500; Barclay MC- $2000; Discover- $1000; Target- $2600; Walmart- $1200; Victoria Secret- $750; Express-$700

FICO Scores- EQ-662; TU-640; EX-656

Re: What's next?

Did you burn Discover in BK? Or any other lenders?

Re: What's next?

Nope only capital one and I started with a secure card before I got the platinum one now. And my credit one is my oldest account so that's why I'm not sure what to do but I'm tired of paying for it to only get a measly 200 CLI every year.

Well, if Credit One is your oldest card you might keep it open until just before the next annual fee is due. That's what I was going to do wtih my Best Buy MC (got it years ago from HSBC, I burned Citi in my BK7 and when I try Citi's pre-qualifier it comes back with "Are you kidding?" Smiley Very Happy ). But at least with the Best Buy MC I get enough BB Reward Zone certificates to offset the AF. I asked for a $1k CL increase which Citi approved, much to my surprise, so I kept it for another year, it's one of my oldest cards.

Re: What's next?

You already have a nice set of cards now-!!!!

Don't worry, CITI is not everything it is rumored to be. There are better birdies out there.

CHASE & Amex takes time but you'll be there in no time......all the best-!!

Capital One QS1, Capital One Journey, Williams-Sonoma Visa, Amex Travelocity, Chase Slate, Amex SPG, Amex Blue Sky, Bank of America Travel Rewards, JCPenney...and more ( Holy Spirit rocks-!! ) TU-Fico-777
