Just curious because I'm trying to maximize my odds.
Do I ask after my statement cuts or maybe when my fico score updates on discover?
Thanks for any advice.
I normally ask after my statement cuts...which is usually like 3 days after the Fico score update (for me atleast). That's when I got my 2 CLI's
The couple of times I received a CLI from Discover I asked a few days after my statement cut.
The only times they approved my requests I had put extra spend on the card the previous month.
Hope you hear some good news!

Honestly, i dont think there is one. Discover either gives one or more often than not doesnt. To maximize, id recommend after your statement and probably after some heavy usage/bt usage. Its far less likely when a card is dormant so definetly use it 😆
Ive had 2 cards. Combined the 2nd one below with the first. Heavy usage and asked on 60,90, and 120 days. Was pretty succesful each time. But Missy can be finicky at times. Date her a lot. And she'll reward you. Favorite color of roses is red.
I'm with @AverageJoesCredit -- I don't think there is any best time. I know I had no luck--they always denied my CLI requests with reasons like not using enough of my credit line--and then one day, boom! I got one! LITERALLY nothing had changed as far as usage goes. I had been using it regularly, specifically because I wanted to improve my chances of a CLI, but it hadn't mattered. Then, with just usual spending, it got approved. *shrug* My utilization never went above 8%-9%, both before and when I got the approval.
I have had my Discover card for about 4 years. I got it 7 years post bk. It started at a 2,000 credit limit.
After a year, it went up $1k. I tried for credit limit increases every three months or so for another year and got nothing.
At about 2 and a half years, I received a $700 cli. I started using the card for small online purchases.
Tried every six months for a cli. Nothing.
This past March I started using it as a daily driver for gas, Uber, doordash, etc. I left a small balance each month on the card (under $100)
I got a $500 cli and the next month got another $500 cli.
I continued this behavior, checking for cli monthly now.
Last week I received a $2,000 cli.
So my credit line is now $6700, which is still lower than all my other cards, but much higher than I started with.
The change for me with Discover is that I started using the card as a daily driver, and I started letting them make a tiny bit of interest from me
My Ficos have stayed stable in the 720s (I am paying off furniture on several cards and my utilization is around 20% across my cards)
Hope that helps
To add i havent seen any cli since , and a little before , Covid began. They took away my bts as well. Granted usage has been really low except one month but i keep periodically smashing the button. Never know. Only thing i can think of as a risk is maybe they decide to 4506 me or something but as much as i luv Miss Disco, ive been getting my groove on with Navy so im ok if i lose her affections.

This must be a person-by-person thing. I've gotten both a CLI and multiple BT offers during the pandemic. Keep smashing that love button! One day, like magic, you're going to get some love! I did.....FINALLY.
