hey folks. I'd like to get in the door with Chase and really would love to get some good cards. I have my eyes on the CSR and Hyatt card, but would settle for less to get started building a relationship with them. Recently opened a checking account with them.
I am rebuildling credit after some bad times in 2014.
Currently: (card - SL)
Capital One Secured - $750
Capital One Quicksilver One - $3000
Credit Union Plat Visa - $5000
Discover It - $9500
SYNC Amazon Store Card - recently approved at $1500 (maybe I can get a CLI on this?)
Car Loan, $5000 left
1 derog, Amex collections account, still 24K left to pay. 2 INQ on TU, 1 INQ on all other bureaus. AAoA is now 2y 2m.
Scores are around 630 to 665 all around.
Which card should I apply for first? Any chance I can get the CSP / CSR? No pre-approved offers online.
IMHO, you will struggle to get a chase approval with the AMEX collection. Are the score you posted FAKO or FICO? Have you done a pull from MyFICO? You will want to know what your FICO 8 is. Let the community know your score. When I applied for my Chase slate at the end of October, they did a HP from all three bureaus.
Depending on your score, you will get good advice on what card to app and what path to follow.
Forget about CSR/CSP. Even the Freedom and Freedom Unlimited have good credit requirement. Last time, the Freedom Umlimited requires a min CL of $5k. Not sure if there is any other change.
Thanks for the reply, folks. I'm looking at paying the leftover AmEx debt in the next six months and then looking at a shot to apply.
What credit score would be recommended for the Chase cards if I were to start with say, the Freedom / FU?
