I applied for NFL Extra points card. I was denied, I recon'd twice and both a no go. I did apply at the end of a spree and I do have quite a few recent inquiries and that was the reason for decline. When would you wait to reapply? TU 680 and I have a 2 year old BK but they didn't even cite that as a reason. Just the inquiries.

Sorry to hear that happened. I would go with whatever time frame Barclay tells you re/ when to apply back. My personal thought for best success would be 12 months to let the large number of inquiries age, but they may tell you differently. Barclay is the best one to advise.
They said they couldn't really tell me and that it takes 'a couple years' for them to fall off which I already knew it was 2 years but I'm not waiting that long lol!
At the very least 6 months, but preferably a year for better limit and APR. They don't like recent inquiries/accounts (although that didn't really seem to hurt me much for my Upromise).
6 months is generally the timeframe when creditors stop considering inquiries as "recent"; however they are still there for 2 years on review so if you have a ton they can and will still bring it up, which is why Chase's new rule is 2 years, not 6 months, on new accounts. Anyway, this is about Barclays and the point is I would wait 6 months, better a year.
I applied for a Ring in April at the end of a mega spree and was denied, TU 701. I applied again in July and was approved. TU 719.
Thank you! Maybe I will meet in the middle and try at like 8 months
This must be a YMMV because my husband was approved recently for the Chase Amazon Rewards with a TON of new inquiries. Like 7. He does have a current Chase Freedom in good standing so that might've helped his chances.
Was their reason for initial decline inquiries?

Chase and Barclay are two differnt animals, and no two profiles are the same, even with the same lender.

Just because they didn't cite the bankruptcy doesn't mean it wasn't a factor.

At a minimum you want to wait until after the application is out of their 'check application status' data... that would be 3 months usually.
I would suggest 6 months.
