Pre approved for quick silver with annual fee
and platinum for capital one,
I hear cards with them get bucketed so is either worth it? I don't like annual fees btw 🤨
if i wasn't approved for any other card does it mean instant denial?

You would have to ask yourself, would you be willing to live with a bucketed card,
especially with a AF? .. I think you answered your own question.
"if i wasn't approved for any other card does it mean instant denial? "
Probably not for the cards you were pre-approved for.
Personally, I would look elsewhere.

No it doesn't mean instant denial.
But I would be wary of applying with Capital One, since they invariably double or triple pull.
Exactly what @M_Smart007 said in his post.
My opinion, you have to know you'll be placed in a growing bucket BEFORE knocking on Capital One's door, otherwise it's growth is slow like molasses.
Not to mention the triple pulls just for approvals, etc. I regret accepting my QS1 with an annual fee as I no longer need or use the card. If I can't PC next month at my 6 month mark, it will be closed. Just my experience and 2 cents.
How do you know if it'll be bucketed before you apply?
I have 2 cards with 9k a piece i don't need a small limit card that won't grow. I had platinum card before i filed bk an it was included in bk. But just now getting any play now. It was A $500 card that did not grow after 2 years

Probably based on the only (2) cards you pre-qualified for?

How did that feel? ..are you willing to take that chance again? ..after three more HP's.
Personally, as I said upthread, I would look elsewhere.
Then again, you could always apply, and later have regrets?
Do you absolutely need a Cap1 CC? ..if the answer is yes, then don't let me talk you out of it.
I had a bucketed Walmart card, it was attained from Synchrony during a "major app spree",
then Cap1 took it over, it would never grow past the $500. so I closed it [you can read here]. Never looked back.

I've decided to stay in the Garden. It's given me a sense of gratification though knowing they finally said ok we forgive you lol. I've gotten enough cards to keep me occupied. Ultimate goal is a house now.

Not the master of credit @M_Smart007 with a $500 CL that would never grow....nah I would have closed the card too.

Probably a smart move. Unless there is a specific CapOne card that works with your spending needs, I'd skip the likely bucketed preapproval cards. Knowing you can get an approval is enough to satisfy the thirst for some.
