Which card to apply for

How hard it is to get approved for Delta Amex? I'm also thinking a about a Citicard- Citi double cash or Citi simplicity. I'm asking for a relative. Couple baddies fell off in Nov. Said credit score in mid 700's

Amex Delta is relatively easy to get.

+1

Out of all the AMEX revolvers the Delta card is the easiest to get and also seems with a moderate credit profile can get a nice SL as well.

The Delta Amex isn't too difficult to get, however if your relative is considering a Citi card I would app with them first since Citi can be HP sensitive while Amex generally isn't.

Also, I would only app for the Delta Amex if it would actually be useful, since with scores in the mid 700s any Amex should be within reach.  Also, FWIW my personal experience on the Delta Gold was different from many; I was approved for $1k on the Delta Gold, while seven months later I was approved for an Amex Everyday card for $8k.

Good luck, and let us know how it goes!  Smiley Wink

for citi-which would you go for-the doublecash or simplicity. They are both 0% for balance transfer- 1 for 12 months the other for 18months but higher percentage rate after balance transfer is over

You'll find various opinions on here, but I can tell you what I did... I got the Diamond Preferred, since it had a 21 month BT promo.  Smiley Happy

At the time I applied, the offer on the Simplicity was similar but many have reported having trouble later changing the Simplicity to a DoubleCash while changing the Diamond Preferred later usually isn't a problem.

My offer for the Diamond Preferred did have an APR that was 1% higher, but many people have reported success with getting APR reductions on Citi cards once the promo expires, so I didn't worry too much about the initial rate.

was approved for Delta airline card-ok credit line $5500. Also approved for Citi double cash with a low credit line $3000 and high APR 24%. Then she decided to apply for BOA-got a $14,000 credit limit. Told her to get in the garden now
