I don't think it was totally random. I think it was connected to the facts that (a) they'd let my limits grow to a collective 105k and (b) due to economic forecasts they were looking for places to cut their exposure. I.e. had I not gone for the CLI's I might not have been on their radar.

 

In response to OP's question I do think getting CLI's from BOA could in some instances increase the likelihood of adverse action down the road.
