Hey all, have a strange one here.  Applied for card got a 10 day message, called number rep said I was approved on credit side but needed to transfer me to the fraud dept.  Fraud lady came back said denied and will receive letter explaining what else they need to approve me.  Can anyone tell me what this is? And why they couldent get what they needed over the phone, does it seem like a denial?  Never got this before.

Well it appears that Barclays wants to confirm that you are you.  
Do you have an existing relationship?

Yeah 2 cards, ill wait its not biggie if i get it or not but they could of at least told me over the phone why lol.

So it appears that Barclays doesn't have the option to send a SMS verification or have you verify via their App for this Xbox MC application.

Glad that you are taking this delay in-stride.  They probably are not allowed to divulge any info over the phone due to

the ID issue and as a result,  must mail the explanation to the address of record.  

And wow, two (2) cards from Barclays!  😆

lol yeah The old Uber card and a jet blue card.  I havent been denied for anything in ages, let hope this isnt the first.  Hell, even chase just approved me.  Credit score is 807

What a joke this is turning out to be, got the letter today want me to get some crap form from the irs 4506t,  which is a tax verificatin ,so I call them they really want my w2, Id front and back, and a bank statement.

Is this really necessary, since I already have 2 cards with these people?  Holy crap.  anyone else have to do this with barclays and can give me some info on what they really will take?

NM im done with this, this crap isnt worth it, I have plenty of cards and do not need this aggravation for another.  lol.  What a joke requesting my tax documents for a lousy card.  Especially since I have a long relationship with barclays.

I agree the XBOX card certainly isnt worth it.  Not honestly sure why you wanted card in first place as you have excellent credit it seems and many better cards out there just in form of sign up bonus alone it would take forever for this card to outperform a nice sign-up bonus, etc.  I saw initial reviews and my PERSONAL opinion was a junk card.  Apply for the premier and collect $600 sign-up bonus then PC to Double cash or Custom cash after a year and profit.

Not "worthless" but the sub amounts to100ish dollars for making 1 purchase in the first 180 days, and 5% off the Microsoft digital store, 3%  steaming... while I wouldn't rate 5% on video games amazing I am sure there are people out there in the world of micro transactions who game enough to make a no AF card like this desirable.

That said I also will never do an IVES request for a credit card IDC how good the rewards program.

Yeah I ripped it up I don't need the aggravation of that crap. It's funny someone with a score over 800 and a relationship with them for quite some time they would require this. Ohh well im mot upset. Thanks
