I forgot that I applied for this in the middle of the night last week along with BofA Travel Rewards and Barclays Arrival+...
just received a letter from blispay saying the application was not approved for the reason (only) of "UNABLE TO VERIFY IDENTITY OF APPLICANT" which they say they got from Experian.
Now... everyone and their dog pulls EX for me here so they certainly know who I am. Should I bother calling their credit department on Monday to recon? I seem to be over the limit of additional recent EX inquiries hurting my score more, but figured I may as well recon since I took the HP and wouldn't mind adding this for a hidden TL and ability to use the 6 month 0% financing should a need arise.
What do you guys think?

You might want to search thru some of the older posts about Blispay because I know this has happened before. I could be incorrect but if I remember right people had no luck in getting BlisPay to overturn the denial.
I, and others, got the same denial reason and it's just as laughable. I've never had an identity verification issue with any lender. They refused to give me any opportunity to prove my identity. It's seems a little shady to me to have to take a HP to be considered for credit and have no recourse in proving your identity. They obviously had enough information of identification to slap an inquiry on my report!

I'm still standing firmly on my principle: Stay away from the too good to be true!
How the heck do they not have enough information to verify your identiy once they hard pull your profile? I'm sorry you took a hit but at least you learned the lesson, unlike some fishes already bit the bait.

Thanks - i did try to search for any blispay recon or blispay unable to verity posts but didn't see what I was after.
Guess I could just call and see what they have to say. Don't have any immediate use for the card but figured while I was applying for a few last cards I may as well pick it up in case the 0% financing became useful.
No biggie either way, but being denied after an HP for "unable to verify identity" is a joke.
I also got this right after moving and fought the battle and was one of the few that won and got it overturned. I will try to find my thread and link it. It is possible to win this battle, but took close to a month along with having to fax in util bill and dl among some other stuff. It was a real pain in the arse, but glad I fought the battle.. They said they didn't reconsider on that reason and I had to wait 6 month to reapply I gave them an option of a BBB/CFPB complaint among other agencies or to please reconsider me and they eventually said they would forward on my request to a different different and indeed they did and that is when I was asked to fax stuff a week or something later. So do not give up on them as you can win with them as I ended up with a 6k approval.

thanks CC!! if you find it please share!
I have lived at the same place for over 2 years, and the address has been current and correct on EX for quite some time. I'm pretty surprised that they said they couldn't verify my identity after pulling EX...especially when multiple other lenders pulled it this year and had no problems.

I didnt mean 'do a search' in the typical derogatory way but that I figured it would be here somewhere and I couldnt remeber exactly what I had seen it. Follow CC's guidance and good luck
Here are two threads related to some of my issues although I thought I had another one going more into detail. My suggestion on Monday is to give credit a call and discuss what they weren't able to verify about your identity. In my case they said it was due to a recent move and you must of lived at new place 3 or 6 months forgot. I said where in the Terms and Conditions does it mention this? It does not, so how am I suppose to know this? Had a few back and forths and as stated I offered to give them a chance since they said their is nothing they could do I thought about it and called them back and offered to see if they would reconsider before filing a complaint with the BBB/CFPB along with going to Twitter and Facebook and making a stink about it (not sure I would suggest my approach though) and eventually got her to say she will forward it on to see what if anything can be done within 3-5 days approx I got a call from them saying to please fax in my Utli Bill along with a DL (both showing new address) to a fax that is also listed in thread below. I said if you can't verify me, how were you able to do a HP on Experian and I would be glad to answer any questions about it as I am indeed the person that applied and I took the HP, etc. Anyways, give them a shout Monday the credit dept. if you need any more advise I will try to provide it, but myself and a few others got overturned by the method I used. I know there is another post in the credit card section where another person had same exact issue as me and we got him overturned as well into an approval. Good luck!
Thanks again CC - I am going to give them a call first thing tomorrow morning and start pushing. Either they need to remove the inquiry, or they need to properly review my application (and ofc give me the dang card after all this trouble!)
