While everyone here is disappointed you did not approved I believe that Capital One did it on purpose. They have been severely narrowing what they will offer due to the pandemic also their Venture X is a new product that is highly targeted. My understanding is that they want someone who is newer at the high end rewards game. Also the AmEx charge cards probably did not help as they are known to report in weird ways. I also have noticed that Capital One will attempt to match existing credit line limits so your existing limits of 30-50k are a bit much for them to reach for. Most likely they could see the churning a mile away that you planned on doing so chose not to offer you the chance to join the companies cardholder ranks. Lastly they do not do recon so the decline is final.
