its been a while since i had some quality cards after quite a few years f hell and letting things drop off my report.... finally have my scores in the high 600s. I have in the past always enjoyed airline cards and taking a trip every year or 2.
applied for discover miles card and they sent me an IT instead, applied for a citi AA and was sent a double cash... urggggh frustrating..... applied for a chase united, approved $5k SCL.. GREAT..... I am also in the beginning of remodeling a rental so applied for a lowes just to use for the 5% off, no intention of carrying ballance. approved SCL $300... TOTAL WASTE OF inq and account openeing..
anyway chase card comes and I was in the days previous setting up the app and so on kept showing 5k avail 5k limit.... the day the card came when I called to activate it shows "canceled" I am pretty sure its because I exceeded theor internal 5/24 which I did not know about untill researching after the fact.... I am used to years ago when I would throw out a ton of apps and see what comes back , apparently its no longe like that....my utl is around 45-47% the chase would be a big deal to get activated... that 5k would put my util under 30%......
I called recon friday and told the csr what I am trying to do is replace all my starter cards with higher quality cards from quality banks and slowly weed out the starter cards and would like an airline card for everyday use. she said I had just missed them by minutes she would add the comments to my file to call back monday.... I asked what her feelings are on getting it overturned she said its done on a case by case basis and cou;dnt ans that to simply call back mon and talk to a csr in recon .....
what would be the best approcah with recon to have this reactivated ?? if i knew a few weeks ago what i know now i wouldnt have went app crazy... it may appear I am jonsing for $$$ am looking to establish lines to maxx them but I am just looking to upgrade what I have to higher quality products
