I think "so i paid for this AU " tells the story. Like putting the toothpaste back in the tube, something's are hard to undo.

I don't think you'll find many posters here who have personal experience that can help here. Buying AUs is pretty sketchy and most here wouldn't do it or at least not admit to it.

AU accounts are not good for much anyway. The banks tend to disregard them mostly so it's the next best thing to Experian's fake "Boost" scores, you know the ones that are designed so you'll connect your bank account and they get all your spending data and then they show you a score lenders probably won't even use.

It may or may not appear in Innovis but I fail to see how that would help you if it doesn't already.

Experian gets paid to recommend cards. It recommends cards that I can't get from AmEx due to a bankruptcy that is not five years and a month old.

Ask the pre-approval tool at the banks themselves. Like Capital One, or Bread Financial or Discover. See if the bank itself recommends anything. If they don't, figure out why because Capital One usually at least recommends something unless your credit is horrible.

Re: experian preapproved

You assume that adding an AU will positively help immediately. It will not. Most banks now start AU's with history only back to when they got added. Also most banks ignore AU entries for most positive things(Chase computer will count AU against you for 5/24 but manual review will exclude it). Lastly a report that changes sharply will most likely have their offers withdrawn for recalculation in the next 3 months. Regardless buying AU is a bad idea overall.
