i was pretty convinced lowes/synchrony pulls exclusively TU. granted i am aware any creditor can pull whoever they want when applying for credit so this post isn't me complaining i am just shocked to see experian pulled. i only apped due to it being TU lol. whoops.
Yep. They pulled EX when I app 6 months ago, although I think they are SPing TU cause I wouldn't keep getting CLIs if they didn't.
then they could of had a system issue....I.E. if the TU system is down on their end for any reason to prevent a delay in the application they will pull experian and vice versa. If experian is down on the accounts that pull experian they will pull TU.
yes...usually on the accounts they HP experian you can get a CLI with a softpull through TU...their is one exception to that....CareCredit is a hard pull every time for CLI and its dealers choice....they can pull either or, or sometimes both for a CLI.
@Anonymous wrote:As a former employee of GE Capital (now Synchrony) they have always pulled Experian, however, in order for them to pull experian on you for lowes there had to be some sort of issue with TransUnion, or your individual transunion credit report itself. Rooms To Go, HH Gregg, Ashley Furniture, any carcare one account, care credit, cost plus world market, Ethan Allan, Sleep Number, GolfSmith Etc. you will always get a pull from Experian.
Good information. Thanks!
The following cards 99% of the time will be Transunion:
American Eagle
Amazon.com store card
Belk
BP
Chevron/Texaco
Ebates
Ebay/paypal
Old Navy/Gap/Banana Republic
Evine Live
JC Penney
Lowes
Mens wearhouse
Phillips 66/ 76/ Conoco
OVC
Dicks Sporting goods
Toys R us
Walmart/Sams club
Stein Mart
TJ Maxx / TJX rewards
And this new hotel rewards card (stash/slash ? is also TU)
Anything else will more than likely result in Experian...Hope this helps some of you guys.

there may be another reason they used experian because i haven't had TU troubles prior. idk
It might be a regional thing 2011X. Went back to my EX report and I had apped for Lowes a previous time before being approved and they pulled EX then.
IDK...that is just my knowledge from when I worked there...that is when it was GE Capital...since the are now 100% synchrony financial they may have made some changes.
I do know that its not a regional thing....their UW office is in Atlanta, GA, and even people that live in Atlanta (Right in Equifax back door) they still pull TU.
