I got a email to set it up. so yeah I can login  online the AMEX and have my account good it all 0 on it haha since I dont have my card yet. when do I have to pay the annual fee of $95 when I get the card and activate it or end of the year?

Don't worry, they will put the AF on your bill just like a charge.Smiley Wink

Did you check to see if twas waived for the first year? This is common so read your details, perhaps in the card packet when it arrives..

Re: question about chase credit cards I applied for.

@pikaboo On the website it didn’t state it was waived for the first year. I think AMEX doesnt waived it but when I het my packet maybe itll say in there.
P.S.
Two questions 1.)lets say I use my credit card on groceries since it mainly aimed towards that and it gets out on my account. Can I just pay that off online using my debit card right away or how do paying off my balance work?? Like lets say today I got groceries, and tomorrow gas using the card can i pay them off soon as I get home ??
Question 2.). I have a 10k credit limit and since we have to pay off our balance or else we get charged interest each month. Every month does my balance go back down to zero and And I technically have up to 10k to use even tho thats horrible practice ? I guess what im trying to say is each month after I pay my balance it goes back to 0 out of 10k and can use up to 26-28% to stay under 30% if this makes any sense sorry if its comfusing :/

Re: question about chase credit cards I applied for.

Amex...

Ask about $95 in chat. They can tell you immediately. It looks like they are not waving the AF now. But, maybe is you ask about it in chat, tell them you had heard it had been waved in the past... maybe, they can remove it for the first yeat... maybe.

1. You can pay your after charges post. That usually takes a few days. They will show in your pending page until they move to posted. People have mentioned you can only pay a couple times in the first month with Amex. But it seems let a few charges post, paid a few times in the first month. Chat can also answer that for you. You can pay once a month, if you prefer.

2. Didn't your offer include a year at 0% apr? If so, no interest will be charged for the first year. But, you still have to make payments on time. No lates! With 0% you can wait for statement to cut, then make minimum payments The exception to 0% is if you get cash advance. Cash advance interest is like 30%  and starts immediately, as soon as you get the cash.

Staying under 30% (actually under 28.9%) is best for your credit rating.

I usually pay every few charges. But I always PIF before statement cut date.

Re: question about chase credit cards I applied for.

Start with that you applied for Freedom and Sapphire, were denied. Ask if there is any information you can provide to help them reconsider. That you would be happy to start with Freedom, prove yourself for other cards. If all else fails, they are saying NO.. offer to start at a low CL to get in with Chase, prove to them that you are a good credit card customer for them.

Yes, payment history. Maybe something about the closed card, that it was secured, you closed it...  you wanted to have Chase cards.

Did you say you had a checking account with Chase? If so, you might mention it and that you want to do your banking with Chase.

Re: question about chase credit cards I applied for.

hey well my one closed account was closed because I paid off the rest of my auto loan I had with a privious bank and so I closed it it wasn't needed anymore so does that matter since it wasn't a credit card? I have a new atuo loan though of course still active still paying itoff of course.  my concern is the reason why they said no was  Obligations too high relative to income.

Re: question about chase credit cards I applied for.

You can't pay a credit card with a debit card.  You need to link your checking account to your Amex account.  There are instructions on how to do it under the "Make a Payment" tab.

Have you ever had a credit card before?
