So after cleaning up my credit reports for 2 months now and Discover pulling Transunion, I went ahead and applied for a higher credit limit. To my surprised, it was only a $600 increased. The customer service rep within the limit increase dept was surprised also but said she can't do anything unless I want a HP. I declined and just took the $600 increase. I rarely use this card now but it's one of the oldest line, which is why I don't want to close it.
Anyone know the duration Discover allows a CLI after getting one?

I'd be happy you received 600, a lot of people only get 500,myself included, and with rarely using the card, I would consider you lucky you got an increase. How long have you had the card? Was it your first increase?
I received mine sl was 1600, I just hit 1 year this month, it's now up too 3600. Every increase was 500. Discover is great, seems like every couple months when I hit the button, I get an increase. My TU was 648 when I got the card, it's now 720, and I'm still only getting 500 dollars. No baddies.
Keep hitting the button every couple months, because it will grow. 😊
I'm not sure usage matters. I average a little over $100 a month on mine, and my last two CLIs were $5000 and $4500.
Card was opened in 2013 at $1200. Never had a cli but that was due to my low score in the 650s.
Income 6-figures and rent is $500. Cleaned record on TU/EX
All of my CLI's have been for aprox. half of my credit limit. Started with 1K first CLI was $500. Second CLI was $800...I'm at 8k now.
