wait time between amex apps?

How long should you wait to apply for a second amex after approval for a green card?

I'd give it a couple of months especially since its your first Amex. Probably 2 months based on experience.

Actually if he just got approved for the green he can go ahead and apply for one of the revolvers now.  Most often they'll use the same HP.  Back to back approvals for AMEX, one charge, one revolver are very common.

That depends on how long ago it was. Like if he/she waits several weeks after getting the Green, they'll do a whole new HP for it. If it wasn't that long ago, I'd definitely try a revolver as you said.

They will do hp if he is approved only.  If declined. Soft pull. Even in many cases if you did it same day will be 2 Hp's it's 50/50 at best for 1 hp.

look at what @Irish80 said. He's correct. There's been a ton of people in these forums saying how Amex will do a one and one with their charge and revolvers. Plus, you really don't want two charge cards... no point.

I did Green card and got approved then 4 hours later I got BCE. 1 HP for both !!!!

+1 to the above. I applied for the Green, got approved, then immediately applied for the EveryDay and also got approved. 1 HP.
