So i joined nfcu about 2 weeks ago now. I have been itching to apply for one of there cards. and altho the rep told me on my welcome message basically that i would probably be ok, Im still scared to try. My first direct deposit check just hit my acct last friday. I wanted them to see that for sure. But yet still scared to try out for it.

What is your AAOA and AoYA? Have you had any recent declines?
NFCU is pretty easy going and IMO, you'd be approved. But to get a decent CL, I suggest not carrying a balance on all your CCs. Maybe get the Ollo to less than 28.9% before applying.
Hopefully, you "want" to have more credit; not "need" to have more credit.

so aaoa is 1 yr 5 months
and aoya is 12yrs 2 m
Thanks so much for responding.
oh my bad my aoya is 3 months

IMHO, I would wait for the AoYA to turn 12 mos before applying; and as noted earlier, getting Ollo down to <28.9%. I suggest this so hopefully you won't start with a toy credit limit.
