seriously? probably gonna wait until next week, i dont wanna take a risk.
I think the rules for the 61 days are changing. I applied on 12/6 and asked for and was approved for 3x CLI on 1/4. In the meantime, I had used about 1/2 the original CL, paid it down, ran the account up to max CL, and asked for the CLI with the full balance showing. YMMV.

My point is that I didn't wait for 61 days to ask for the 3x CLI. I got it at 29 days. The rest of it I put in to describe how I handled the card after I got it, just in case that has any influence on their algorithm. I did forget to mention that the 1st statement cut on 12/25, which people have been reporting (that you can ask for the increase after the 1st statement posts). Hope this clarifies.

Not a risk. If you are denied for too early a request, you can make the request again the moment the 61st day comes around. You only have to wait 91 days after a denial IF the denial is for some other reason.

What happens if you are denied CLI?

If you jumped the gun before the 60 days/6 months rule, the reason for denial is considered ineligibility. If that is the case you can reapply after the original and correct 60day/6month timeline. You do not have to wait an additional 90 days, so the clock doesn't get reset. If you were eligible and got denied due to other factors, then you are ineligible to reapply for another 90 days since the denial date.
I had to try as first statement cut and ran 600 through 1k line and paid off.. 7-10 day message... Figured it wouldn't hurt to try.. Try on 61 days So basically had the card since Dec 11th, had to try the theory.. Probably depends on other factors as well, but my EX score isn't so hot
. Was willing to be a guinea pig and will post the results of what the letter says when I get it.. If it is other factors or to soon to ask..
I too ran a few thousand through the first month and I PIF when the statement cut. Second month ran about $1800 and with that balance showing decided to do the 3x and was approved well before the 61 days.
I tried to do an early 3x on my G/Fs ED card and got the 7-10 days message, however though she did have a balance and did not PIF. I'm wondering if paying in full has any contribution towards the early 3x at all or just a mere coincidence.
do you think gonna apply now? i already paid my balance from the last statement but i do have $560 balance now. but planning to pay it all tomorrow when my paycheck comes.
