its been a long hard rebuild since my bk13 in 2017.... but are we ever really finished building?
after many attempts amex finally decided to let me back in. i was approved today for the amex everyday card with a 2k starting credit line. its currnetly my lowest line of credit but im just happy to be approved. its been my goal since i started my rebuild to get back in with amex. mission accomplished! my bk fell off my experian report a few days ago so i decided to give the pre qualify a try. i got an email saying they needed more info from me. which was like, oh wow this is different... could it be?.... turns out they just wanted to verify my identity. about an hour later i received my approval email. i was blacklisted for 7 years. feels good to be off their naughty list, but i still feel like im on the "we're keeping a close eye on you" kinda list :-)
Congratulations on your approval and getting back in with AMEX!
Congratulations on your approval and reunion with American Express.
Congratulations! I hope to do the same in March when my BK13 falls off. But I burned them for 20k+ so I might be on the perma ban list. We'll see.
Congrats on getting back in with AMEX ! How much did you burn them for in your BK ?
That's great! How much did you burn them for in your BK and when was it? I'm still blacklisted. Burned them for almost $17k in a Ch.13 back in October 2012. 12 years later....you know the rest. I might be permanent blacklisted.
Congrats on your Amex approval
Congrats on getting back in with AMEX!
I burned them for $13,600 across 2 cards. Paid some back (very little) in my bk13 plan. Rest was wiped out.
