This morning, I received a spontaneous CLI from AMEX on my Blue Cash Preferred card. Figuring that I must be in favor at AMEX, I went ahead and applied for the Platinum card. Since I travel a lot for work, I'm in a position to make good use of this card's benefits. It will be a nice complement to my Chase Sapphire Reserve card.

When I pulled up the application, it said I was pre-approved. Sure enough, I received an instant approval after verifying my identify online and updating my annual income and assets. For the record, my current scores are TU: 710, EX: 693. Hopefully this approval will be via a Soft Pull, which presumably was what prompted the auto-CLI on my BCP card...
