Long time lurker, infrequent poster.
Quick background - first AMEX, apped for the SPG in early June during the 30k miles promo (quoted FICO was 687 in their decision) and was approved for $4,800. Ran just over $5,000 through the card to date (treated like a debit card) and always paid down so a couple hundred reported and then PIF before due date. Hit the magic button todayand asked for $15,000 - countered (as expected) to $14,400. Not too shabby.
Made mistakes in the past like everyone else but these forums have been a help in getting back on the right track. FICO earlier this week had jumped to 737 so I'm feeling good about the path I'm on.
Anyhow, just wanted to say thanks. Even when people don't post often what is found here is really valuable. ![]()
Woohoo! Grats! What a great feeling! Did you do this on your 61st day?
I think I was actually at Day 68. Wanted to time it with my pay schedule at work so I could make a payment before the statement closes on the 25th.
Congrats! Thanks for sharing.
