Yes, there have been a lot of counter examples to "going from less than 25K to more than 25K requires tax documents", but about 18 months ago when I asked for an increase from my (exactly) $25K, I got asked for tax documents. But clearly there are other variables determining who does and who doesn't get asked.
Congrats! Thanks for sharing.

They countered immediately with a $29,300 offer. I accepted it. So I guess the moral of this post, don't be afraid to ask for more than 25k with AMEX.
Congrats. There's hope for me yet ![]()
Very nice, congrats!
My initial BCP is a $10k limit and by 61 days are up next month. Part of me wants to ask for $30k, but I think I might stick with $25k until I build up a history on that account. I have had other Amex accounts for years, so maybe that will help. I also just opened up an Amex High Yield saving account and dropped $10k in it (0.85% APY), but I'm not sure if they exchange info with the two divisions.
How much spending do you do on that card? I also noticed you have a very nice CSP CL. I routinely put $3-8k/month through mine, but they wouldn't give me more than $16k (plus $9k on another Chase card).

Congrats...but your success does not make me less afraid...lol.
Hmm this is intresting I was fully expecting to give them my tax documents to prove I have the income to move past the 25k mark when my next 6 month CLI request comes around. Congrats!

No problem. 99k
Congrats on the CLI!!!! And wow, you have over 200k of available CL? I make 45k/yr, is it possible for me to get up to 90k of available credit (without FR)?
Simply amazing. Congratulations!
Very nice, congrats on the fantastic CLI!
