AMEX SPG Approval with SP

Hey guys, apped for the SPG after being pre-approved on Amex's site. Instant Approval with a SL of 1K, hoping this one will actually recieve CLIs unlike my BCE which has been stuck at 1K for a little under a year. Amex site says my most recent score they obtained was 672. AAoA 1.5 years.

How is the rest of your profile, what might be holding your score down? Has anything changed since your BCE approval? There are several topics on the 1k Amex that never get CLI, many due to profile issues/usage habits holding people back.

Don't think that AMEX appreciates me using the 0% intro. Don't see the need to PIF if interest isn't being charged. This shouldn't be a problem with the SPG though because they didn't offer me a 0% intro so I will always PIF.

Minimum payments on the 0%? They might not like that but if you’re making 2-3x min that shouldn’t be a factor, barring other issues in your profile as I mentioned.

Other than that young profile, and an AU on a Citi Costco card thats nearly maxxed (working with my mother on this), there's not to much else. Think I have 6 inqs on each CB. If the AU card wasn't throwing off my whole UTIL the score would probably be 15-20 points higher.

Congrats OP. Why dont you wait until August? Maybe they will have SUB 75,000 or 100,000 points promo. This card on my wish list but I'll wait and see until August when they finally merged the program.

Congrats on the new card.  I have the Delta AMex and it wasn't growing.  I applied for the NFCU AmEx and was approved for 10x's the limit Smiley Happy
