APPROVED FOR CSP WITH 650 FICO!!!

Hello everyone! I am new to this forum and wanting to tell you about my experience with getting approved for the Chase Sapphire Preferred! I mainly use CreditKarma to monitor my credit scores but I recently checked my FICO score. My TU is 643 and EXP is 644 and FICO is 650 (AMEX offered free reports).

My credit history is only 1 year. I had only 3 credit cards prior to checking pre-qualified offers from Chase on a Wednesday night Feb 20th. No bankruptcies, derogatory marks, or late payments. I have a car loan from Capital One which I make monthly payments on. The only thing that does stand out is a high utilization but I always pay more than the minimum payment.

I was iffy to submit an application for the CSP so I originally applied for the Chase Freedom through their prequalified and immediately got approved for $2000 SL. And I read on myFICO forums that I’d you apply, you might as well apply for another card since it does 1 HP. And I took a chance since I recently had not applied for any new cards, and submitted an application for the CSP and got immediately approved for $5000 SL!
They approved me for 2 cards within 10 minutes!!

Here are a list of my 3 credit cards I had prior to approval of Chase Freedom and CSP:

CITI BANK Secured MasterCard $1000
American Express $1000
Care Credit $500.

I am so surprised I even got approved with my Fico score and credit report. Time to take advantage of the sign up offers!!!!!!

Thank you 😊
Surprised they even gave me a pre qualify offer.
I have read many forums where people with higher scores than mine get declined.

Very nice approval! Especially with a thin profile, Congratulations on getting both the Freedom and CSP!

Congrats on your success!  I'm a little envious, having only one Chase card (Marriott).  I can't even spell "5/24".  Enjoy!

Congrats on the approval! Decent SL for limited history. Although, I thought Visa Infinite came with a five figure minimum line? Perhaps they are sending a Siggy?

Getting approved in the mid sixes... just goes to show that the Reserve product - with an AF of $450 - is a total moneymaker for the bank.

Netflix? ~ $150 annually.  Chase is only the same if you use your all of your $300 in travel credits, each and every year. Even if the percentage of customers that fail to travel is modest... Chase is making a killing, and doesn't have to make any movies, either.
