I got my card in 2005 and am still stuck at $1,800. Never received an auto increase either. Then again, I have never requested a CLI.
@shane1978 I'm so sorry to hear that! You may have to request one eventually! If you do, best wishes to you when you ask! I've had multiple reps tell me the only way to get an increase was to request it and that they don't do auto increases.
I got an auto increase on my 15 year old card in December, but it was small, raised from 2k to 3k.
Congrats on your Best Buy CLI! I was in a similar situation as you - opened this card in 2007, stuck at $500 for a decade, and then closed the card in 2017. I never pursued a HP CLI because this card didn't really fit my spending profile (I rarely shop at Best Buy). Glad it worked out for you.

@Biergeld Wowwww!!! That is awesome! I have been told time and time again by the customer service reps that on this card you can't get an auto limit increase! Congratulations to you on your increase!

@Bk2006 thank you so much! I'm sorry to hear about your experience with the card. It sucks how for some this card can get stuck. I shop at Best Buy all the time which is a major reason I was so interested in getting an increase. It was restrictive trying to use the $1000 limit. I don't blame you for getting rid of the card considering how your limit was stuck and that you rarely shop at Best Buy!

What other high limits do you have on other personal cards? (Before applying for the Best Buy CLI) and what data points did you give for income/assets vs DTI?
Congratulations
