@tbque  do you still have other negatives on your CR?

Also, is utilization percentage in your signature accurate?

My current utilization is at 32%.  I have a bunch of lates from my mortgage, have only been current for the past 7 months.  That is what is holding my scores down, no lates on any of my credit cards.

Re: Advice needed on getting in with AmEx

You might get approved but probably under really poor terms
I'd expect lowest limit (relative to AF in any)
For a travel/rewards cards, it might be barely usable.

I'd look elsewhere until your file is clean.
You can apply and see what happens.
I hope I'm wrong if that's what you decide to do

I'm not really feeling it, you should probaly wait a bit. Amex can be particular and one baddie falling off a day ago isn't a green light to app with all that you have going on. IMO

Ouch. Smiley Sad High UTI and multiple lates will really hurt you.

I concur with above advice.

Lay low, pay off some debt, and let those lates age more into the background.

Re: Advice needed on getting in with AmEx

So I went ahead and bit the bullet and applied. Instant approval for the Aspire but not the best terms as some had speculated, but hey I'm in with AmEx. I app'd for the Green Card as well but I got the dreaded 14 day message.  How soon before I try to Recon it, nothing ventured nothing gained right?

Boom! Congratulations. You should get your card within a week or two.

Now set your calendar and request that 3x once you bit 62 days. You may as well call to recon that green asap. Do let us know if they bit you with one or two HP.

Remember with your Priority Pass, you get food credit at some airport restaurants. Get the app and it will let you know of the deals when are you are at the airport....

Correct me if I'm wrong @kudosalert but I thought AMEX issued PPs are no longer valid at airport restaurants ("non lounge airport experiences" as they call them)?

Congrats OP on your approval! I just got in with Amex too and am eagerly awaiting the card myself Smiley Happy

OP didn't mention his SL or terms, alot of time when you just squeeze in with an approval the 61 day CLIs are not given out , of course YMMV
