Amex BCE 180 day CLI - $300 CLI

Today was 180 days from when I successfully obtained the 60 day 3x CLI from Amex. It went from $4,000 CL to $12,000.

Unfortunately, when I tried again today for $24,900 Amex only offered a $300 CLI . New CL is $12,300.

Not what I expected but I'll take it. It is probably due to many new accounts, so my best bet is to wait until July.

Congrats on the increase even if it's one of the smaller ones I've seen. Other than new accounts anything else like utilization that may explain why the CLI offer was low?

I would not think utilization is an issue. I only have USBank reporting at less than 5% utilization, the rest of the accounts are at 0% (paid off before closing). I don't put much spend through the Amex BCE if that is very important.

you’re last sentence is very important, if you’re barely using 12k they most likely see that internally and dont see a reason to grant triple or even double your current CL, best wishes on your 91st day however(;
