Amex Gold Approval

Confirmed today that Amex Gold will add Uber benefits next year (in addition to one more year of airline credit). Really worth it for the first year. Got a Plat friend to refer me. He gets 15k MR instantly, and I get 60k MR after spending $4k in 6 months. A pretty good deal for now.

It's my second Amex and third ever card. Pulled the trigger early to 1) make sure that my friend could get the 15k + 3 more MR points on purchases for next 3 months (that's 9x points for air travel and hotels, 2) I won't receive my SSN in time for Chase's 80k UR CSP offer, 3) worried that the 60k Gold offer might expire soon.
