I have a merrick creditcard which I got back in 2012, they are giving out 300 dollar increases every 90 days my last increase was back in September 15. They do not any questions income or any thing just call in ask for increase. Credit line went from 4350 to 4650. The max limit you can have 5K I have 2 more increases to go another one which will take account to 4950 then another increase which will be fifty dollars which will make limit 5K. By the way I only put 8$ spend on card in the last 3 months. Total cl is 297,450 with fico scores over 810 on all reports.
That's great man congratulations!
I too have the Merrick Bank card, the double your limit, after 7 months I believe? I'm just curious to pay an annual fee, monthly? I was considering closing my card, but it could be valuable considering they allow you to use the entire credit limit for cash advances. Perhaps a decent extreme emergency card. And your experience would they consider waiving the annual / monthly fee? That would be a no-brainer if I can get rid of that because the fact that they break it down monthly is a little annoying, I'd rather do it all in one lump sum. Anyway congratulations again and thanks in advance for any insight you can offer.

MY merrick creditcard has no fee, I would call customer service to see they can wave or change your card to no annual fee card. if you are paying annual fee to Merrick bank then you are in the high risk profile, I saw your other post ther is so much more then fico scores. Some times credit card co use Early warning which looks at your checking accounts and any other on demand deposit accounts.
Yeah, understood. That really shouldn't be an issue I was making about $70,000 a year, when I initially got the card. But my scores were in the toilet. They're pretty good now even the free in-app score is 808. The score they used to monitor my account. I've only gotten one credit limit increase of $200. I've had the card about a year and a half. So yes, initially I came in with low 600s. I'm assuming that's why. I have called to see if they would waive the fee, they said they don't do that. Which is BS, but what can you do? I should be due for another credit limit increase this month, they seem to only be giving them to me every 6 months. I'm going to keep the card it's only like $8 a month. Perhaps it's worth another try though...
Thanks for the response, best of luck!
