From my experience, Goldman Sachs has become much more strict on CLIs on their Apple Mastercard in the past 12 months as there have been news stories about another lender possibly taking over the card. I got a small $2K CLI last February to $42K after relatively small spending, which had surprised me. Since then, they have turned me down for any increases even after putting heavier spend on the card. My total spending slowly eclipsed 25% of the limit, then 33%, finally 42% since the last CLI approval. I had hoped I would trigger the apparent $10K maximum increment since I wanted to take the card to $50K+. Instead, they finally offered me an additional $4K, even with that amount of spending, with a new limit of $46K.
My theory is that now they may require spending at least 40% of the limit to get an increase and to get the maximum increment may take 50% to 100% of the existing CL in spend since the prior CLI. Still, I'm grateful for this increase and even though I know some in our community on My FICO think little of this card, I believe it has a lot of strong points. (See >this post< for details.) My most typical usage is for 3% merchants, especially Walgreens where I shop often, as well as using the convenience of Apple Pay for coffee or fast food purchases on my travels.

Congratulations @Aim_High Another nice CLI.
Congrats! Seems they don't like "discharged" BKs on CRs as my request was denied, good thing it was a SP.

Congratulations on the continued growth!
Congratulations! 🥳
It is true that they are tightened up the reigns....likely due to all the press on their account management/loss issues and the pending sale to another party. I would be hard pressed to spend 40% of my own CL with them in a month, as I am getting greater returns on other options in my wallet.
Congratulations on your Approval!!👏🏼🍾🥂
Congrats on the increase, that is a nice limit! I dont hate on the Apple Card, and find myself using it rather often for smaller purchases or apple pay and it does add up!
Congrats on the CLI! I'm not in the Apple card hater group, but since I'm a Samsung person when it comes phones or any other mobile devices it's not an option I could explore.
