So I've been working on my credit a lot recently and in a year I've managed to get my scores from the low 500s to now my Transunion is 693, Experian is 679 and Equifax is 667. I have a couple of credit cards that were aimed at low credit scores (cap one and boa) and they wont give me an increase, so I'm looking to add a better card to my collection that might also give me a higher limit. I don't want to blow my score up with multiple inquiries so I'm looking at cards that might fit my score that people have had luck with, and maybe have a preapproval option so I can check with a soft pull. I did this with Discover and was preapproved for a discover it card, but I'm not sure it's the best option because in the details it says cl can be as low as $500 so I'm sure that's what I'd probably get
With those scores and that few cards, Disco will likely exceed the limit of your other two in hopes of becoming your primary card. Discover likes customers that don’t have many other cards and will put a lot of spend and payments on there.
Unfortunately it’s a slow build but at least it’s an approval. Discover can grow very quickly, auto CLIs are actually pretty common, so just PIF and keep your statements between 1%-8.9%
I woulda tried American Express first but thats just me
Congrats OP
Three cheeseburgers a month and then PIF.

I applied and got $500. Happy I got approved but I'm tired of these tiny limit cards.
Have no fear. Discover will grooooow if you use it well. My card went from 5.5k to 17.2k in less than two years
