They didn’t mention a limit, they just said I was approved and to expect a card in the mail. But, I’ll update once anything comes up.

Congrats on your approval! So glad it worked out for you.

I was following your original post since the beginning. Do you think calling recon expedited your approval?

I posted about a family member in the same situation. They applied on December 27th and didn't speak to verification/fraud dept. until January 2nd. It is still giving the 7-10 days message. I might ask him to call recon today to see if they can give a clear answer.

Re: [Approved] So I applied for the Chase Freedom...

I think calling the recon team made them pay attention to my application as it still was in process. It might have just put it ahead of the queue. But when I was on the phone I made sure to not make it seem like I was in a hurry to get it. To avoid any suspicious activity. Luckily, the guy seemed very nice and just told me that it was gonna give me a response within 1-2 weeks. Instead of arguing and complaining , I just said that was great and I appreciated his help looking into the app in question. He then said if they do need any info or if I would like to inquire a bit more into it I could call within 24-48 hours. But I didn’t want to spoil my chances so I just called the robolady and was pleasantly surprised with the approval the following day. So I would assume it did help. But I didn’t necessarily do any recon. Because I was never denied nor did I get a 7-10 day message. In your relatives case, I would call recon just to see what’s up. But just try to be nice and don’t make it seem like you’re frustrated. These guys have the power of approval. So you want to be on your best behavior 😉. Good luck, and let us know how it goes on your post.
