Congrats, so is five the limit for revolvers with Amex? I'm at four now.
I'm going to downgrade my BCP next month.Supposedly according to article DoC posted today actually there have some recent datapoints pointing to be able to get 6 total revolvers with AMEX.
https://www.doctorofcredit.com/does-amex-now-allow-holding-6-credit-cards/
And congrats on the 5th revolver there MrDisco!
Thanks!
Yeah seeing that article was what boosted my confidence over the threshold.
The comments are interesting. It looks like most of the data points for 6 revolvers involve having Hilton cards converted from Citi. The limit for most other people used to be 4, but appears to be 5 now.
There's still a few more SUBs I want to get from Amex (BCP, Delta Plat, SPG), but I know from here on out in order to get them I'll have to drop an existing account first.

Congrats on #5. I only have SPG and BCE. Not sure what to get next. I don't see 25k offer even in incognito.
I finally got the offer by following the link from uscreditcardguide.com from a fresh install of Chrome.
@Jnbmomwrote:Congrats I think you are correct with them doing/using your report and or SP. My hubby has had his bluecard for 3 months very low limt 500 tried to get him another card they denied based on his EXP report and score that they had from 3 weeks ago ( kinda bummed since his score has improved a bit since then) So I do believe they use SP and base it off your current score and report they have on you. ( Atleast in my experience so far)
I wonder if they'd recon with a new HP...
@credit_endurancewrote:Congrats MrDisco on the approval! What’s your total exposure with them now?
$82K over five revolvers, plus two charge cards. Income is just north of $100K.

Thanks for the datapoint. AMEX continues to confuse me with how they handle lending credit in relation to income.

Oh yeah, I've also got offers on the charge cards for pay over time with $10K limit each, but I haven't activated them. According to Ask Sebby, they may attach a point bonus to the offer if you wait long enough.
Congrats m8 ,you do hit them hard.lol
Congrats MrDisco!🎉 And nice starting limit too!

I have 7k over 2 revolvers and my income is close to 200k. They are stingy with me.

First off, congrats @MrDisco99! Sounds like churning is a good plan for this one; at least you can move almost all of your limit over to another card whenever you're ready. And yes, their lending makes no sense sometimes. I've had monthly charge card balances about the same size as all of my Amex revolving limits combined and easily put over $70k through my Amex cards last year, but I'm apparently capped right now at about 12% of income on the revolver side. Meanwhile, there are numerous examples of people having a fraction of my income and multiples of my limits with almost no spend. What gives, Amex?
