@CreditCuriosity wrote:@credit_is_crack ya your DTI is great and your utilizaton is very good as well.. I think you would fair well if you are a member.. Only thing is new accounts/inquiries, but didn't stop mahraja obviously, but i think he is in another income ball park than most of MF land. I am in the 6 figure income, somehow I think he is in the 7 figure income land .. So whether the spend they saw report on his other accounts and paid off made a big difference probably a bit for sure seeing 20-30k charges and payments across all his cards lol.. Credit is always a gamble you basically take a break once you get your first decline for a few months is how i see it .
I'm definitely not in the 7 figure space, but on the low side of 6 figures. There are those with solid profiles and then there's @Mahraja which is like a whole other stratosphere of success Upper echelon is like 4 tiers below him lol

@CreditCuriosity wrote:Got approved for the BB&T kinda on mistake, but was a SP will take it lol.. Did the pre-qual a few days ago when EQ was on ICE. Got pre-approved for all the cards. Credit went back on ice day later tonight heard rumors if pre-qualifed it was a SP, kinda laughed about that but figured what they heck did site again and offers came back up. Already had cash rewards and travel rewards had no interest to me since have CSR and many other cards for travel, etc.. So picked the Bright no thrills card. Filled out info and approved all with a SP. Actually shocked. Wasn't a great approval at $6500, but will take it none-the-less as shedding a few AF cards. So @credit_is_crack it is a SP and you beat me again EQ is hanging around 770-790 range for 08.
LOL @CreditCuriosity, those are the kind of mistakes I'd have no problem making over and over Congrats! Nothing adds to the approval high than knowing it was a SP Win! I have no idea what it is on my profile that I'm just a step ahead because right now your score is higher than mine, and I have been pretty aggressive with getting new cards this last month. Haven't seen any new BB&T accounts at $10,000 or more so could just be the max of their comfort level as a bank, but $6,500 is nothing to sneeze at my friend!
I just dropped in a membership app for Langley FCU and debating if I should open it and let it sit for a bit, or just apply for a card right off the bat. Once I hear back about membership I'll just make a decision and commit to it lol On to the next venture!
Even if the rewards and SUB are meh I went for Travel card because of the SP and got a 15,000 limit.

THX, will be interesting when the merger with Suntrust goes thru. The name will change and maybe the rewards will improve.

Congrats my friend!! The credit crackman's allure is undeniable!! lol
@Gmood1 ever thought about going for them as believe they are in your region.. SP approvals how can one go wrong lol? Added this one and cancelled an AA citi card as AF was coming up and milked them for the 70k AA miles already have a barlcays business AA card to retain the miles and it is hidden. Might milk another 70 AA business miles from Citi here, but need to wait till i have 4k easily hittable in 3 months being some more stuff around house i need. Want to keep alot of my credit "hidden"
