Read some great datapoints from other recent approvals, applied for membership yesterday, instantly approved. Then applied for the visa cash back today with the $200 sub, instantly approved for $5k. Was hoping for a higher SL but will take any crumb I can get! TU HP, FICO around 715, plenty of recent accounts.
Congrats!!!!! I wouldn't be so upset at 5k; they're getting hit and about to get walloped, and I'm sure approval amounts will be much lower as they sort things out.
myFICO FOTM all-aboard the myFICO Express full steam ahead! I wonder how long it will take before they modify/change some of their credit policies.

Pure Speculation—FOTM myFICO forums will do that to a CU quickly. In the last couple of days, my dedicated representative hinted about a surge of people joining through (LMY) and CC applications. If they have been burned before with some fraud, all of a sudden, all these applications come in around the same time...looks suspicious, and I'm sure the Loan Officers are being "safe than sorry."
AOD couldn't handle the myFICO wave; we shall see if BCU can. Might get a little lucky that Reddit is down, so the word "might" not travel as fast.
IIRC—Old timers can fact-check me, but myFICO FOTM, this forum, could have contributed <wink> to NFCU closing their loophole for non-military members. A long time ago, in a very different world, you could signup for an organization and get an NFCU membership. It was brief and short; with GREAT power comes GREAT responsibility. These forms help tremendously but can quickly break a smaller CU when geo-restrictions are opened. I'm sure they don't expect a WAVE of members all at one time, all with moderate to excellent credit, all requesting 20k+ CC and PLOCs

IIRC, the same thing happened with USAA Bank probably around 2006-2007. I was able to join even though non-military. There was a rush of non-military apps as a result of the Creditboards forum which was in its golden days at the time. USAA seemed to close that door VERY quickly. I still have my USAA account.
