I also got my Cash rewards in 2012 with all on time payments. All my Deposits go to my checking account. In the last 12 months ive had 4 new accounts. on my experian which is what they pulled i have 15 inquries and 8 that are counted....
This card fits my rewards and benefits features better than any other card and I've gone over them all with a fine tooth comb. And now I've read about every message on this forum about this card. The fact you got it with scores in low-mid 700's is a testament to what seems to be a forming consensus that the underwriting requirements focus more on your pre-existing BofA relationship history than your credit/score report compared to other popular cards.
I've got a 753 TU and 728 EX score right now. I'm in WA State so they are probably going to pull EX. I opened a checking and Merril account today in preparation to give it a shot but I am very doubtful as I have no history, am not going to deposit large sums, and although I only have 5 HP's on my EX, 3 of them are within the last 3 weeks. But I have a new NFCU that's going to report in a few weeks and take my score down so I've determined by best window is right now. I'm going to wait for one of my cards to report at zero balance so I'll be AZEO with under 5% UTI hopfully bumping my score up a bit before apping. But again, I highly doubt I'll get it. But I'm will to take one more HP on EX for this year for the long shot. If I don't get it, I'll keep the accounts open, run direct deposit through it, and wait for an offer or maybe give it another shot in a year or so. Doesn't hurt your score to open the checking and investment account so figured why not. Will take the $100 SUB on the checking account to make it at least worth the time for opening an account.
I tried the prequal which I hear unless it gives you a specific interest rate then it's really just a marketing tool. With no rate displayed, it confirms in my mind it's a long shot but like I said, I'm fine taking one more HP on my EX to see what happens.
@alain4957 congratulations 👏 on the approval which CR did BoA pull from also do you know the backdoor # please
