Barclay Auto CLI!!!

I logged into my Barclay's account a few minutes ago and it said that my CL jumped from $2000.00 to $3700.00. I didn't believe it so I called the automated service. Received the same info. I started dancing around like Snoopy!!!   It might not be a big deal to some and it isn't what I had 5 years ago but it's my first major CLI since my BK in '10. 

It's interesting that some cards like Walmart, which is supposed to be fairly easy, denied me for an increase but then Barclay's almost doubles my CL and is the highest that I have now.  But, this is a good example of what people on here have said, make your payments, give it time and good things will happen. 

I don't know if it's a coincidence or not but in the last two weeks I've received a no interest offer for the iPhone 5 from Barclays and also 3 checks that can be used for cash or balance transfers. First time receiving anything like that from them and then I see a CLI.

I've had my Walmart, JCP, Merrick and Barclay's cards since the end of last August (8 months), Target since September and the Cap 1 and Orchard cards since the year before.

I've tried the online Love Button and calling for increases for Walmart and JCP after their 4th statements but no love. Reasons were some tax liens and I believe my BK from '10.

Some months I pay a little more than the minimum on the Barclay's card, some months a few hundred and some months I pay the balance from the previous month.

I'm going to use my 3.99% balance transfer checks to pay off a few high interest cards that I'm carrying balances on. I don't use JCP much. I put $116. on it a few weeks ago. That will be paid before the statement closes, Walmart has $430. That will be paid off before the statement closes and Orchard has a $430. balance. That will be paid off. I figure taking care of those will save me money on interest, I'll pay off Barclay's that will have the promotional interest rate before that promotion is over and my score might go up after those zero balances report. Plus that might trigger CLIs and this increase could get everything to move in a positive direction.
