I applied for the Barclays AAdvantage Aviator Red credit card and got denied for the following reason: "unsecured revolving credit history too short".
They used Trans Union, which determined that my score is 759.
Here are my 3 credit cards:
1) United MileagePlus Explorer Visa from Chase start date: 4/25/18
credit limit: $5000
2) Costco Anywhere Visa from Citi
start date: 1/27/18
3) Gold Delta Skymiles from American Express
start date: 3/12/18
credit limit: $5400
How long should I wait to reapply for Barclays AAdvantage Aviator Red?
In the mean time, I'd like to apply for the Paypal mastercard cashback (to increase my cashback from 1% to 2%), can I apply now or do I have to wait?
Mod note: I've updated your subject to reflect your approval; feel free to change/edit if you would like. --UB
Barclays is actually very reasonable at recons. Call them since you've already taken the pull. You have nothing to lose by trying. Just tell them you see high usage with the card you applied for and prepare to give a figure.
Barclays: 866-205-5973 (credit analyst 24 hours)
Barlcays: 866-408-4064 (credit analyst MAY have limited hours)
If I tell them that I would have around $500 purchase per month with the Barclays card, would that be enough?

That is a question only Barclays could answer. If you wanted to use their card "exclusively", I'm sure they would like to hear it.
Definitely recon this.
If that doesn't work, the next "milestone" date I see is when your oldest card reaches a year old in January. The next significant milestone would be when your youngest card reaches a year old in April.
I called the recon line today and I was approved, thank you very much!
She asked me why my credit history was only from 2016. I told her that I had a JC Penney credit card 15 years ago, and it was closed in 2012. She asked me permission to get a copy of my EXPERIAN Credit Report and she saw the JC Penney credit card.
Great news and congrats on the approval! So your JCP card was not on your other reports but only on Experian?
Barclays is using VantageScore 3.0, which doesn't show my old JC Penney account (for example, on wallethub.com), while experian.com is using FICO 8 and shows my old account.
