I'm still talking about the inquiry and the way it appeared earlier in my previous post above - just a day earlier and how it now looks different.
I app'd on 4/15 and my inquiry was reported as "Bank/Credit Card". I'm thinking they may have changed the coding of their inquiries when they temporarily shut off apllications.
What date did those of you who saw "Installment Loan" or "personal Loan" apply?
Congrats on the approval !
Does anyone have an update on whether the full BP account itself has appeared yet on their credit report? (Not talking about the inquiry -- the actual account.) If it has, what does it say?
Although I remain skeptical that it will appear as an installment account (much more likely revolving), if it WERE to report as an installment account this would be a really important development. Many of us would love to have an account that reports as installment, is easy to control its utilization, can reduce interest paid to $0, and is capable of staying open for many years (as opposed to car loans, personal loans, etc. which typically last < 5 years).
Are there any new BP customers on this thread who plan to pull their reports in the next 30 days? Remember that there are free tools (notably Credit Karma) that enable you to pull credit reports as often as once a week. And some of you have tools like CCT that enable EX pulls more often than that even.
Great Questions
This would give me a mixture of credit. Right now I only have Credit Card history, no installment loan auto loan, house loan or etc.
Can anyone confirm that this shows as an istallment loan loan on Credit Report?
Hi GalaxyStars. I agree and hope we'll hear back from some of the people who opened BP accounts.
In the meantime you may want to look at a technique that will solve your problem of having no installment loans:
The approach described has the added bonus of no hard inquiry.
I too am waiting to see if the account reports or is a Hidden TL .... We may have to wait for the Early Adopters to have up to 2 statement cuts happen before we can definitively states it a Hidden TL. Creditors like AMEX take almost 2 full statement cuts to report a new account.
If this card is a Hidden TL, it is GOLD and will easily push my PNC points to the SD and become my go-to "Big Ticket Items"/ Balance Carrier Card.

this card was announced 3/31. still no updates??? hidden then??? yey?!? lolz!
Any updates if this is actually an installment loan rather than revolving debt?
