It did help. When I first looked into Bloomingdale's a couple of weeks ago I didn't really see anything I wanted to buy. So I'm thinking, "What if they just give me the store card?" I'd probably never use it.

But then your post reminded me I'm much more likely to get the Amex. So, Thank you, again. 

As to the CLI post -- I already tried on the Macy's when first setting up online -- got the  "7-10 days," ie, "take a hike."

Generally it's 2 months for the first CLI on both  , then every month (Macy's), month +1 day (Blooms) thereafter.

I've gotten several CLIs since getting this card, starting @ 1 month & 1 day. The original post has been updated.

Thank you, Smarty. 

Not much spend period -- maybe $200 total? Similar spend to my Macy's AMEX, taken out at roughly the same time, that's grown from 1k to 22k.
