We called in to see if BofA would graduate my DH's Cash Rewards secured card today. It was opened in 10/2021. Since opening the card, his credit has improved tremendously. His TU file has become completely clean, but Experian is still showing some negatives. Anyway, we opened it originally with a $300 deposit and have been using it for Costco and gas purchases and paying in full. When we called today, she said she was putting in a manual graduation request. It came back instantly approved! We checked the account online afterwards and they automatically increased the limit to $600 as well, which was an excellent surprise. I beleive his TU score is somewhere around 699 right now. They did not do a hard pull for the graduation request, so this was an all around excellent experience with them.
How nice! A graduation AND a CLI! Can't ask for more than that. Great job on getting this done!
Hi @RehabbingANDBlabbing Congrats to your Hubby for getting the BOA card unsecure and also receive credit limit increase.
Congrats on the grad and the CLI! Sounds like we opened our cards around the same time. I called in today, but realized it's been 5 statements, but not technically 5 months yet so maybe next week or statment I'll try again. Keep up the great work!!

Yeah, it has been 5 statements and 5 months for this card, so I would wait until then if you thi nk there's a good chance it will graduate. It was a soft pull for us, so I don't see any harm in asking.
Congrats on DH's Secured card graduation!
So did they return your security deposit apart from the CLI?
Fantastic
Congratulations!!

Yes, they returned the original $300 and gave him a $300 CLI on top of that.
Congratulations on DH's BofA graduation and CLI!
