CHASE SAPPHIRE PREFERRED and NFCU PLAT APPROVALS!!

It's been awhile since I posted here on MF. I have been lurking but just had to announce these two gems!

When I started my journey back in late 2018 I was always gravitating towards the CSP. Everytime I would think about it, I would have to knock myself down a peg or two and remind myself that credit, like a fine wine has to age and I have to prove myself. Especially working up from the bottom like I was. I have 2 Navy cards(AMEX and FLAGSHIP), Disco It, and a super high apr C1.

Early December I applied for the NFCU Plat in an effort to pad my utl.... I was successful and scored with 25k instant approval. Once that reported I did the old trusty Experian trial trick and sure enough it reported on all 3 bureaus and I could feel the CSP heart palpitations start.... I knew I couldnt wait any longer so this morning I did it.

I applied for my dream card... the card I have been dreaming about with 60k sign up bonus and....

Sure enough. "O" face.. I was approved for the CSP $16,900. 22% apr which I mean, afterall... it isn't NFCU here apr-wise, this is Chase so thats expected lol.

Since 2018, it has been quite the credit journey. Never did I see myself approaching 100k in credit.

INQ- 4 across the board

UTL- 23%

NO DEROGS

Currently @ 4/24

Thank you very much!! I'm already looking at whats next but I know Chase can be alittle wierd about multiple applications so close.

i know the feeling. I have no good advice. lol. Chase has skittish tendencies so maybe wait till your card hits 2 or 3 months??? Can you ease the urge by requesting a CLI on a different card instead? It'd be a shame to finally get this card only to lose it because you app'd for another...
