I applied for this card and got the under review message. 3-4 Days later I called and they are requesting
some kind of IRS document?
I have a BK from 2017 but it only appears on Experian and Transunion. My Equifax is clear and about 738 score with about
5-10% usage showing. They pulled only Equifax so dont know whats going on really. Never heard of IRS form request.
I still not even received what they wanted in mail yet. Should I even bother?
It sounds like they want to do income verification via the IRS. I'd recommend that you go ahead and submit that form when it arrives; you've already taken the HP so you may as well jump through the hoops and see if an approval awaits you on the other side.

Probably a 4506-C request to allow them to look at your 2019 and 2020 federal tax returns (2021 returns wouldn't be available for another few months) as they want to verify your income. Such requests aren't particularly common but they aren't exactly rare and a number of issuers are known to occasionally make them.
You aren't legally obligated to authorize the request but if you don't it's pretty much guaranteed you won't be approved for the card. As long as you were honest in stating your income the information shouldn't adversely impact your odds of approval, but some people do refuse to authorize these requests strictly on philosophical grounds.
only info i could find were from posts from like 2015. They said they might pull another credit report? idk
Nothing really to lose now i guess.

What ended up happening with this? I'm in the same boat, I applied on 5/12 and it's been a lengthy process.. I filled out that request form and it's still "under review"... Curious what to expect here.
It finally came back approved about 10 days ago. Only got $500 limit though but im in the door at least.

That gives me hope! Two questions if you don't mind..
1. Did the do a second hard pull during the process? (the letter/request stated they might)
2. What was the total length in time after you filled out the transcript request for them until you got the approval?
No second pull- prob took about 2.5-3 weeks after i sent in IRS form to get email saying i was approved.

Great, thank you. Here's hoping I have the same luck.

Congrats on the approval!
