I got under 5/24 on January 16 and stopped by a Chase branch and applied on January 20.
Approved with a $10,600 SL
24.24% APR
I was hoping for double that SL, lol. When I got my CFF, it was my highest limit by a pretty good margin. I was thinking Chase might give me a CSP up there with my highest limits. Or at least enough so I could transfer some of the limit to my $9.1k CFF to make it a $10k+ card. But I got in. And it's a pretty good limit. High enough that I could've gotten the CSR if I decided I wanted it. But I think the CSP is a better fit for my spending and travel.
@Remedios wrote:For me, applying for chase card a few days after going below 5/24 worked. I am certain they go by exact date but a lot of people here wait till following month to be on a safer side of things.
Worked for me too.
@jaybird14 @ wroteI can also confirm that I did an in-branch app and did not get the AF waived on CSP. I did get a slightly higher SUB (base offer right now + I think 10k extra if I spent 6k in 6 months? I have to check my terms) applying in-branch.
That's what I got, 70,000 points for spending $6k in 6 months. But it's not all or nothing. I still get the advertised 60,000 points for spending $4k in 4 months, then if I spend another $2k in that 6-month window, I get an extra 10,000 points. I'm not sure if that's available online, so a little benefit to going in branch. I just happened to be in town where there was a Chase branch, so I figured it wouldn't hurt to go in and check.
I was in the banker's office and he was filling out the application when my supervisor tried to call. I sent him to voice mail. The banker asked me about employment. I said, "Yeah, well I was employed when I came in here. That was my boss I just hung up on."
DP's . . . I still haven't gotten notification of a credit pull. I assume they pulled Experian again. My EX8 is 775, for what that's worth.
[EDIT: Just got a notice from Experian that my credit was pulled by JPMCB Card Services and my FICO 8 decreased from 775 to 772.]
Income $72k, rent $700.
Was 0/6, 1/12, 4/24 on new accounts. Experian inquiries were 0/12.
7% utilization.
Congratulations 🎉
A little more DP, here's my credit card utilization:
Only other debt is I owe $5647 on a $10k PenFed personal loan. (I actually owe a little less than that now, but that's what's currently reported.)
AAoA: 3 yrs 6 mos.
AoOA: 7 yrs 4 mos.
Age of newest account: 7 mos.
Congratulations enjoy it.

LOL. January is my month.
PenFed Platinum Jan 2021
PenFed PCR Jan 2021
FNBO Evergreen Jan 2022
Chase Sapphire Preferred Jan 2023
That's 4 of my 5 highest limit cards. And since I got a lot of cards in January, and lots of them allow CLIs every 6 months, January and July are CLI seasons for me.
Congratulations on your CSP approval! I read your thread in Applications and I am glad this ended in a successful outcome!

I saw you liked my "this thread can be closed" post, lol. I didn't want to type a novel on my phone so I waited until I got back home.
Hey, if you've been gardening since 5/12, I think your spade is due for an upgrade.
