Cap One/HSBC CLI

Has anyone had any success with the Luv Button and recently converted HSBC accounts?

If so, which division was you account before? (HSBC, Household, Orchard, etc.) Also, did your account recently convert or was it converted before this wave of conversions?  (I guess there was a first wave of conversions, or so it was rumored.  I don't know which cards were converted earlier or what the criteria for the conversion was.)

I was told conflicting information by Capone.  (Imagine that!)  I was told it should be possible now (EO), even though when I tried it told me I had to wait until the coversion was final.  I was also told that I had to wait 30 days after the conversion.  (Supervisor)

I am trying to figure out if there is partial truth to being able to request it now and if so why are some accounts being restricted.  Maybe, for example, Household accounts aren't being allowed for some reason or they have a glitch or just simply conflicting info by the infamous Capone CSRs.

It is by will alone I set my mind in motion.....
Always follow these rules: Only take a HP for a new account. Always use the best rewards card for that reward category. Don't close a card unless you know you really should. Never use more than 35% of a credit limit. Recon as much and as best you can. Use the introductory period to the best advantage. Get the signup bonus. Whenever possible PIF or balance transfer so you pay less in interest. Never give an excellent rating when it is actually the norm. Always look for a discount as more is always better.
Always accept candy from strangers because they have the best candy or from people you know have good candy.

Re: Cap One/HSBC CLI

Well I did read that one person did, but only one person and it was not so clear if it was from the EO or from the Luv Button.

Re: Cap One/HSBC CLI

I think they simply converted my Household card to the Quicksilver card without me asking.  And it isn't because of the limit!  As one of the oldest cards I now have it has a horrible limit!  I have new cards with 10 to 15 times that limit.

This luv button thing is annoying me with the message; not until the conversion is complete.  Is it just my account or are others having the same issue?  Is there anyone, without going the EO, route that simply pushed the button and got the increase?

Re: Cap One/HSBC CLI

I have 3 accounts with Cap One now, 1 being HSBC transfer. Yesterday I used the Luv Button and my 2 original Cap One's got $500 CLI but when I tried the HSBC I got the 7-10 letter message. I am assuming because I have only made 1 payment on the HSBC card at this time.

Re: Cap One/HSBC CLI

I have a Best Buy card that was HSBC and I applied for a CLI a month ago. I went from $5500 to $7100 with a SP.

Re: Cap One/HSBC CLI

I had the rewards applied to my old Orchard card, but no pc to Quicksilver and when I requested a CLI, I got the 7-10 day msg.  No increase and no letter yet.

Re: Cap One/HSBC CLI

I hit the luv button on both my old cap1 card, and the formerly orchardbank card, as soon as it transitioned over to capitalone.com.

Got denied for both, but for sake of brevity/clarity ill only discuss what happened with the orchard bank card:

Got denied by luv button, reason being along the lines of "not giving CLIs during conversion" or something.

Shoot out an email to EO, get a call back, ask for the CLI review done manually..

After a couple of days, limit increased from 1000 to 2500, plus a "one-time" waiver for the annual fee (which is just another excuse to bug the EO next year  )
