Cap1 QS1 CLI Success!

So I’ve had my QS1 card for about 5 years, the account for 10 (pc from the platinum). Been trying for CLI for the past year or so and always getting denied, too many minimum payments, too much usage, and most recently a returned payment (forgot I closed my bank account and didn’t update when I went to make an extra payment before statement closed). The most recent denial was in Nov for the Sept return payment.

Well today made 93 days since the returned payment and I hit the button again just to see and got an instant CLI for $2k for a total $4300.

Now I have a QS1 - $4.3k, QS - $3k (I got impatient with the annual fee and lack of CLI), AMEX BCE - $5.4k, DiscoIt - $2k, and VS store card - $2.5k. I’ll let the QS grow a little then think about combining the QS and QS1

Given the advanced ages of your Cap One cards in comparison to your other cards, I'd try to PC the QS1 rather than combining it. Try using the card each and every month and calling in each and every month to see if there are offers available.

So I’ve been trying for a PC for a little bit and kept getting no offers. Today I hit the link it gave me the same “we’ve hit a snag” alert. So I would ahead and tried the chat and they were able to PC me from the Quicksilver one to the Quicksilver!

That's my plan for either this spring or summer. Give the QS1 time to age out of credit steps and then merge them right before the AF kicks in.

Hello, Congratulations on your increase!! 

I am interested in going for a CLI, do you know which credit report Cap One pulls? Also, is it a hp or sp? Thanks in advance
