Synchrony has been pretty good to me as well even though I got the 7 - 10 message for their Marvel card. ![]()

Cap1 is just plain weird.

In 2 years time, I have only gotten a $100 increase. Even though I know I can only get an increase every 6 months, I try every 30 days anyway. Still denied. I don't get it. Still stuck at $600.
I used that card so much, and paid in full ALL THE TIME, never a late payment and still no love from them.
I'll sock drawer the card and never use it again. If they close it, so be it. I have no use for that card whatsoever.
I understand your frustration. They only increase every 6 months but as impatient as I am 6 months is too long to wait.

So what?
Are you carrying a balance? If so, are you paying more than your minimums? How about your utilization? I know my mom was only offered $300 for her cli, I thought it was low so I told her not to take it. A few weeks later after paying down more of her balance and they offered $1k. I also think it may depend on the card, too. My card that started as my rebuilder Platnum doesn't get high limits like my Quicksilver.

So they don't give measly increases..
Yes. I opened new accounts with good limits and combined the ones I could. Just waiting now to combine my Venture's. I think it's the only way to get a decent limit out of them. I just made sure it all went to my oldest card.
Looking back at my last few months with my Cap One Platinum, I ran over $1000 through the card each month with a minimum of 20 swipes on it per month (usually close to 30, or 1 per day on average) and I would PIF or let it report less than 1%. Have had the card for 13 months and have used it like this the majority of the time. Having only received two $500 CLI's, to me, is a slap in the face considering how much usage I've given it.
