Okay, so whatever I get billed on my monthly statement is what goes on the credit report, not the utiliation at the end of the month?
If you have a $1000 CL and charged $900 and paid $800 before the statement generated, only $100 balance will report.

Thanks DI. You all have been helpful. Did you guys call the 7070 number or the backdoor number when you asked for the CLI?
I called the 7070 number. The CSR at the backdoor number aren't any help. The last time I called the backdoor number, the rep told me my card was a K-Mart card. Foolish!!

wow, i'd say that's an all-new level of incompetence!!! ![]()
Capital one has been very good to me. They gave me unsecured credit when no one else would and I've had them now for about 4 years or so now. I was stuck stagnat at $750 forever it seemed but out of the blue I logged into my account and saw that my limit with $4500. They increased my limit without a request making the card my largest limit credit card (next highest is $1800).
I almost closed the account before thinking it was a dead end card but decided to just let it keep aging for the tradeline. Glad I didn't because now with that limit when I go shopping for prime credit it should be easier. Not sure when I will be ready to shop again though/ I havn't apped for a card in well over a year now and have no use for additional credit. Nice to know that I should be able to get a higher limit card now though - all that credit rebuilding really paid off.

I called backdoor escalations and was told they are not approving credit line increases for any one right now, but that you may do better to apply for another card.
+1 Scores are not a determining factor in getting a CLI. We are stucked with old cards and the only way out is applying for a new one. Not happening with me.
+2
Another card [not Cap1} is the only option.
