Hi everyone,
So there are several pre-approval sites I try at the beginning of every month and the Walmart Mastercard issued by Capital One is one of them. Put in all the information like I have done several times since my BK7 discharge in April of 2021 waiting on the usual "We're sorry" message. Well to my great surprise it came back with a pre-approval so I followed through with the application knowing that a pre-approval is no guarantee. Finished up the application and waited on the final circle with the credit card symbol in the middle to complete and BAM approved ($2,000 SL @ 26.99%) was expecting no more than a $500 SL so another pleasant surprise. This will fit my spend wonderfully as the only major place to shop in my small town is Walmart. The following are the datapoints that I am aware of at time of applying:
Capital One Credit Score Disclosure = 671 Equifax (not sure which one)
Inquires:
EX = 2/6, 3/12, 3/24
EQ = 2/6, 3/12, 5/24
TU = 1/6, 4/12, 5/24
I was planning on gardening until July and apply for another Penfed card but when the pre-approval popped I had to apply due to my spend. So off to the garden I go so that what I have will grow. Will now wait another 6 months and continue on with my original Penfed plan.

I burned Capital One in my BK7 for approximately $4,500.

Nice! I would consider that one
of their better starter cards. No annual fee, and points for every Walmart dollar spent. Use the heck out of ot and pay it off monthly, and it'll grow and even open up different lenders with better rewards options.
Starting Score: 547EX

I spend a lot of Walmart dollars being it is the only major retailer in my small town. It will get a lot of use and I always pay in full every month. I hope to never pay interest on any card. I pretty much use all my cards as if they were debit cards. Thanks for kind words @moto4man .

Congratulations on your approval!!
