My oldest card is my QS1, therefore I haven't canceled it. I know it stays on and ages but I still had hope that I'd be able to strip the $1,300 bucket with time.

Earlier this year I was able to pull a 1-200 CLI on it and that was all it had coming.

Until now... I woke up to an email saying I received a 4k auto-CLI for a new $5,300 limit.

Mind blown but happy to see it finally happen, now to hope for a product change opportunity.

Wow that's awesome. Obv you are just 1 DP but maybe Cap1 is starting to give bucketed cards much higher CLI's. It's probably wishful thinking but I am 3.5 months into my Cap 1 Platinum unsecured card with a $300 CL so I'm trying to be hopeful that my 1st increase can get me to $1000 or maybe more!!

To add a little more data, I've had the card since 07/2015

Re: CapitalOne QS1 Christmas Miracle

Some good news for those that wanted PC updates, my statement cut yesterday, I checked today after receiving email of statement being available and there were no upgrade options.

I decided to do the /productupgrade trick and had theee options: No AF QS, VentureOne, Venture

I accepted the Venture card in hopes I'll have a chance to PC to VentureX -- I don't care about not receiving sign up bonus if I PC to X, would prefer to not open a new line to get the card.

No more QS1!

Congrats on your Cap1 upgrade and CLI 🤑👍

Now you know that card is not bucketed, put some usage and see it grow big time.

Re: CapitalOne QS1 Christmas Miracle

I'm wondering if they've been rebucketed, or just got put towards the higher end of what a bucketed card can get to.  The thinking being that after the maturity date of the asset backed security, if the account is in good standing and you're in a better credit situation than previously, it can have the limit be pushed up towards the higher end of what would get packaged at that level to simultaneously reduce the chance of the customer closing it now that they are considered risk (thus mitigating the risk of new cardholders with young or dirtier profiles).  Alternatively maybe it gets repackaged in a higher bucket with a lowrer risk profile overall (and thus a lower yield, lower risk bond).
